Most of the modern robots are complex and are
mostly operated by computers. the mechanics are complex. Varieties of software
are used to design and manufacture these robots. Different type of programming
languages are used to manipulate those robots autonomously. These robots can
perform advanced tasks that a human cannot perform. These robots are highly
advanced than what it used to be before 1900s. During the industrial
revolution, the technics and methods of controlling robots are vastly changed.
Conventional robots were operated autonomously with human presence and help.
But after introduction of electricity, everything changed. The introduction of
motors vastly changed ow robots were perceived.

existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second

more significant from the industrial revolution which led to complex mechanics
and introduction to electronics. With evolution of robots, certain rules and
laws were implemented so that robots cannot be used for harming of human being.
This law was formulated by Isaac Asimov during 1900s.

separate word, automata and robots. Automation and robotics are two different
field of engineering. Automation engineering covers the field of engineering
where engineers create technology that complete the processes and procedures to
do something by machines without human assistance. The concept is develop the
technology to perform task  without human
interference or assistance. The task may include production, manufacturing,
researching, transporting and simple basic actions like walking, talking,
driving, etc. Robotics in other hand, is an interdisciplinary branch of
engineering which includes mechanical, electrical and computer science. Robotic
engineering deals with the branch of engineering that develops robots which can
perform task that a human being cannot perform or is too dangerous for human
life.

INTRODUCTION

 

Abstract—This document explains the term Autonomous Robots and its
development from conventional robots to modern concepts and developments of
autonomous robots. This document will also explain about how the autonomous
robots came in play and how it took over the industrial manufacturing methods
from traditional human labor to robots. The evolution of automated robots from
simple mechanical robots are described in this review. Different documents,
articles, books and online sources were used to write this document.
